Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 29, 2025
At GPTfake, we believe in transparency — not just about AI censorship, but also about your data. This Privacy Policy describes what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect your privacy.
Spoiler: we don't want your personal data.
1. What We Collect
We intentionally limit the amount of data we collect. When you visit our website:
- We may log basic technical information such as:
- IP address (anonymized)
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Referrer URL
- Pages visited and time spent
This information is used solely for security and performance monitoring and is not linked to any individual.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email, or contact details
- Uploaded prompts or user-generated content
- Persistent tracking identifiers (like cookies — see Cookie Policy)
2. Legal Basis (GDPR/CCPA)
Although we do not collect personal data, we strive to comply with privacy laws such as the:
- General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
- California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)
We follow the principles of:
- Data minimization: Collect only what's strictly necessary
- Purpose limitation: Use technical logs only for internal ops
- No sale: We don’t sell, rent, or trade user data — because we don’t have it
3. AI Responses and Public Content
The content you see on GPTfake is entirely AI-generated output obtained from publicly accessible LLM interfaces or APIs. This content may contain:
- Statements on sensitive topics
- Politically or ethically charged language
- Model refusals or moderation examples
This data is collected and published solely for academic, journalistic, and public-interest research. We make no claims about the factual accuracy or appropriateness of any AI-generated content.
4. Third-Party Services
GPTfake may use minimal third-party services to support infrastructure and analytics (e.g., Vercel, Plausible, Sentry). These tools:
- Do not use cookies or fingerprinting
- Collect only anonymous, aggregate usage metrics
- Are selected for GDPR-compliant, privacy-first design
We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.
5. Your Rights
Because we don’t store personally identifiable information, most data protection rights (such as access, correction, or deletion) are not applicable.
However, if you believe we’ve stored data related to you in error, please contact us at [email protected], and we’ll promptly investigate and delete any personal information we may have inadvertently retained.
6. Children’s Privacy
GPTfake is not intended for use by children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect or publish information relating to minors.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be reflected here with an updated effective date. Continued use of the site after changes implies acceptance.
